FAQ - Frequently Asked QuestionsHow can I trade these systems? Please contact one of the approved brokers to get the system traded for you. You will not need to handle the technology as we have full time trading staff that monitors our servers to ensure the systems are followed correctly by the brokers who will block trade these for all clients. Both customers and our own accounts are traded at the same time in this way. What Brokers can I use to trade these systems? Currently our main brokers that block trading is done at are Global Futures, Striker Securities and Robbins Futures however we may be able to work with your current broker using give ups or in some cases may be able to set up systems to trade directly with your broker. Back to topDo you guarantee I will make money trading these? There are so many reasons with your own choices in how you operate an account that may lead you to you lose money even if you have a system that worked well overall and of course you cannot be sure what the future holds. Methods that have worked for years may find market conditions change and run into a drawdown phase that exceeds expectations. You should adequately fund your account to allow for drawdowns and you need to realistic as they will come. Margins shown in Strategy Runner for individual contracts would be the minimum to even open an account and it would be preferable to have more. Ideally diversify if possible to spread your risks. We offer a number of Portfolios of systems and markets traded and may be able to offer performance based options on those with the approved brokers who trade these for you. Please email for details. Back to topWhy don’t you just trade them yourself? I have spent an incredible amount of time developing systems and realize that the market is large enough that others could also trade these and provide some additional benefit from all my work in this area. I also like having a way of comparing how I am doing against other traders that have results published. Back to topDo you have available every system you trade? I trade a large number of systems and contracts and some find this much information confusing so offer just some of the individual systems and have some made up as portfolios of systems put together for customer use. Back to topCan I watch these for a while first? There are independent companies who are tracking these and will have real time results since released to them. Strategy Runner will have real time tracked results for some and approved brokers will have some actual fill history available, often from my own accounts. You are able to get a Strategy Runner demo account and subscribe to those for free for a short time or ongoing with a subscription if you want to test the water without using a real trading account. Back to topCan I set up auto trade and go away? If you are trading with a broker using auto execution it will trade with or without you there. Some brokers such as Robbins and Striker will also monitor trading and ensure trades are done the same as in my accounts. If you use Strategy Runner it depends on the arrangement you have with you broker but often the customer monitors the console themselves and may get a lower commission structure. It’s your account and your money on the line and there is always the possibility of a technical problem that could mean a trade may not go through. How frequently you check the status of the trades and your account is up to you but even if you do not monitor it live you will have daily trade and position statements available. Back to topHow do I find out a bit more about these systems? If you cannot find the information you want from the independent brokers that monitor the systems trading with them or the Strategy Runner website please email me with what information you would like. Back to topDisclaimerDisclaimer: The risk of trading can be substantial and each investor and/or trader must consider whether this is a suitable investment. Past performance, whether actual or indicated by simulated historical tests of strategies, is not indicative of future results. Transactions in securities futures, commodity and index futures and options on futures carry a high degree of risk. The amount of initial margin is small relative to the value of the futures contract, meaning that transactions are heavily "leveraged". A relatively small market movement will have a proportionately larger impact on the funds you have deposited or will have to deposit: this may work against you as well as for you. You may sustain a total loss of initial margin funds and any additional funds deposited with the clearing firm to maintain your position. If the market moves against your position or margin levels are increased, you may be called upon to pay substantial additional funds on short notice to maintain your position. If you fail to comply with a request for additional funds within the time prescribed, your position may be liquidated at a loss and you will be liable for any resulting deficit. Trading cash Foreign Exchange ("FX") contracts carries the same high level of risk as futures trading . However cash FX, unlike futures FX contracts that are regulated by the Commodity Trading Futures Commission, are not regulated by any governmental agency. In addition, because there is not a central clearing house for cash FX transactions, there is also a counterparty risk for each contact. |
